About the Beach House
Seaside Cottage is a lovely beachfront retreat located on Lincoln Beach in Depoe Bay, Oregon. The four-bedroom, two-bathroom, two-story Seaside Cottage features an open floor plan with a mid-century modern style complete with vaulted, wood beam ceilings. Fully equipped kitchen for cooking and dining. Immediate beach proximity allows for shoreline viewing over one-mile each direction from the living room. The wraparound deck enhances enjoyment of beachside magic, including watching the sunset and listening to the crashing waves. Keep warm during chilly nights with a gas fireplace on each floor.
Location
Seaside Cottage is located at Lincoln Beach and the nearest town is Depoe Bay. Newport and Lincoln City are within 20 minutes of Seaside Cottage.
Lincoln Beach
Lincoln Beach features an extensive beach that is famous for year-round enjoyment, including kite flying, agate hunting, tide pool exploration, beach games, fishing and refreshing walks. Beach strolls are invigorating. Even watching, listening or feeling the peace and power of the ocean is restorative. Enjoy Oregon’s diverse weather patterns of sun, wind, rain, and fog through the various seasons.

Beach Warning
Lincoln Beach is not safe for swimming—there are rip tides that can be dangerous. When the tide is high, the waves can go up against the bank. (It is best to stay off of the beach with high tides.) Watch small children on the beach at all times who may be knocked over by “sneaker waves” (sudden large waves that can knock over children.)
Tide Tables
It is very helpful to know when high tides and low tides are predicted. Tide charts give the time for each high tide and low tide, along with the level. There are usually two high tides and two low tides daily but the times vary. Knowing the tide level can help you plan beach activities. There is usually a paper tide chart in the Seaside Cottage but you can also check tide tables on the internet:

Depoe Bay is an enchanting small Central Oregon fishing town. It is considered the “whale watching capital of the world,” with its resident pod of gray whales that make their home offshore March through December. It is also considered the “smallest harbor in the world,” with fishing boats and tours for deep sea fishing and whale watching. This area features beautiful sandy beaches and scenic rocky shores.
